Whispering Oaks
As the lightning zapped out of his wand, it was met by a similar bolt emerging from the other side of the tree line.
“I am and always will be the most powerful Wizard!” shouted Dagadan.
“I will not be defeated!” yelled Dakath.
As the Blue and Gold charges of electricity emerged from both wands there was a sudden explosion and a nearby Oak tree began to glow an aura of Green.
Within moments Both Wizards were nowhere to be seen, all that remained in the forest was the Oak Tree Glowing in the most mesmerizing of greens.
A Few Hundred Years Later…
“I’ll take that one, when can I have it delivered?” asked Alice.
“We can have the table to you by the end of the day” replied the salesman.
Alice had recently moved to the city to make it big as a model but while the ambitious dream was still developing, she had found a job at the local Supermarket.
Today was Pay Day and she had been out shopping at the local store to find a coffee table for her apartment.
The Delivery van arrived early and Alice’s brand new Coffee Table was set right in the middle of the living room. Alice was extremely happy that night, she may have not gotten any closer to her dream of becoming a Model, but she had surely gotten one step closer to be able to call herself Independent.
Alice went to bed early that night; she was tired from being out shopping all day to find herself a bargain.
“I will destroy you Dagadan!”
Alice was woken by voices coming from the living room, she looked towards the clock on the bedside table “2am” she mumbled.
‘Had someone broken in’ – she thought to herself
Armed with a baseball bat, in her pajamas she made her way out to the living room – “Hmm, was I dreaming? What Kind of a name is Dagadan anyways…?”
She turned around to head back to her room.
“It’s a perfectly fine name young lady!”
“Who said that?”
“Who’s there?”
“It is I, Dagadan – the Greatest Wizard to have ever lived”
“Greatest Wizard my magically purple ass” Replied Dakath
“Who’s there, what’s going on?” said Alice
“Did my Coffee table just speak?”
“Coffee Table, What is Heavens name are you talking about little girl”
“I am Dagadan, and this is my sworn enemy Dakath, We represent a faction of some of the most powerful wizards known to time it-self”
“Uh… You’re a Coffee Table Dude; you’re no more than a piece of wood that can talk.”
“Release us from this cage you call a table at once, or you shall witness the wrath of the likes of both my best friend and myself” shouted a voice from within the table.
“Best Friend?”
“I thought you said we were enemies?” said Dakath.
“Do you want to get out of here or not?”
“It’s all your fault Dagadan, why would you use the conjoin spell on me? We had agreed not to use it, had we not?”
“Yes we had, you used it as well, that’s what got us into this mess, and now we are stuck in this, ‘Coffee Table’”
“Quiet, the both of you; It’s two in the morning and I have an early shift tomorrow, I don’t have time for this nonsense”
Alice placed a Cloth over the Table, and headed back into her room.
“Stupid Wizards” she mumbled as she fell asleep.
A few minutes later Alice woke with a sudden jerk “What a weird dream” she said to herself.
She walked towards the kitchen to grab a glass of water, after getting a drink of water and making sure the kitchen windows were securely closed, she headed back towards her bedroom.
Just as she was getting back into bed she heard
“I will destroy you Dagadan!”
